Grasshopper is a company whose flagship project is a drone model, the Grasshopper e350 . An innovative solution in the air logistics sector , designed to transform heavy-duty industrial transport and the cold chain.
Its eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) drone is designed to operate completely autonomously: it flies, drives, charges, and handles cargo without human intervention, using decentralized charging stations and automated loading. This e350 and these stations feature specialized containers (with cooling options) that store both the cargo and most of the batteries, allowing for pre-recharging before the drone arrives and automatic container exchange via the drone at the stations. This optimizes time and operations.Â
They currently have a proof of concept and are in the process of seeking funding and strategic alliances with logistics operators and cargo airlines to take their project to the next level. Their next milestone is clear: developing the first functional prototype of the e350 model.Â
