Grasshopper Air Mobility signs a cooperation agreement with the Office of the Vice-Governor of Corrientes, Argentina

Corrientes, Argentina, 17 September 2026. Grasshopper Air Mobility has signed a framework agreement for cooperation and exchange, the Convenio Marco de Cooperación e Intercambio, with the Office of the Vice-Governor of the Province of Corrientes. Vice-Governor Dr. Néstor Pedro Braillard Poccard and Jakob Saalfrank, Founder and CEO of Grasshopper Air Mobility, signed it in the city of Corrientes.

The agreement sets out a general framework for mutual cooperation, technical assistance, development and technological innovation. Among other areas, it covers the research and development of innovative technologies and the development of the region. It is set for two years.

The signing took place during AICONNECT Corrientes, which brought a delegation of Spanish technology companies to the province to meet its institutions, universities and businesses. Over those days Jakob Saalfrank met public institutions, organisations, companies and professionals to understand what the province needs and where Grasshopper’s technology can contribute.

Grasshopper Air Mobility is seeking to build joint programmes with the Government of Corrientes and regional companies and organisations.

We thank Vice-Governor Néstor Pedro Braillard Poccard and Naylan Faisal Marottoli, head of the Area of Innovation, Data Protection and Artificial Intelligence at the Senate of the Province of Corrientes and of Corrientes Futuro Tecno, and their team. She coordinated the Spanish delegation’s agenda with the governments involved and made this visit possible. Our thanks also go to everyone in Corrientes who shared their time and experience with us.

About Corrientes

Corrientes is one of Argentina’s 23 provinces, in the north-east of the country, framed by two rivers. The Paraná separates it from Paraguay to the north and from Chaco and Santa Fe to the west. The Uruguay separates it from Brazil and Uruguay to the east. Its 88,199 km² are home to around 1.2 million people, and its capital, also called Corrientes, lies on the Paraná opposite Resistencia, the capital of Chaco.

The province lives from agriculture and livestock, with rice, citrus, yerba mate and tea among its crops. It has one of Argentina’s largest forestry industries, and tourism is drawn above all by the Esteros del Iberá, one of the largest wetlands in South America, and by the Corrientes carnival. Chamamé, the music of the region, is recognised by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
